French Toast Bites – Toddler Finger Foods

Hey everyone!! Today I have a fast and easy recipe that is a total crowd pleaser – French Toast Bites! They’re the perfect addition to any breakfast spread and super kid friendly.

For the most part Z is a good eater but when he’s teething he becomes really picky and only wants to live off of cheese! The other day for breakfast I was running out of options of what to offer him because he was just not having it! So I decided to whip up some of these babies and it was a total hit!

I had some mini-crostinis that I had leftover from soup night but you can use any bread that you have. I find that when you use bread that is slightly stale it holds up better and also helps your teething toddler – but I’ve made this with fresh as well and it’s just as delish!  Start off by cracking 1 egg in a bowl and add 1/4 cup of whole milk, 1/2 tsp. of raw honey and 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon.   Mix everything together, dredge your bread and fry in a buttered pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until it’s golden and crispy.

Serve with some berries and a dusting of powdered sugar!   The thing that I like about this recipe is that it isn’t loaded with sugar and you can literally have breakfast ready on the table in less than 10 minutes!

Z loved it so much that I had to whip up a second batch for him!
