Welcome to Part 2 of my Honest Company product review. In this review I’m going to be giving you the down-low on some of the Household, Health & Wellness products that I’ve been using over the past few months. In Part 1 I gave an overview on Baby, Bath & Body products so make sure to check it out if you haven’t yet. Unlike Part 1, this is going to be a shorter post since I’m just starting to use and integrate these products in our home.
So let’s get started!
Fruit & Veggie Wash:
Love using this to clean my fruits and veggies. It’s so simple and easy to use! I place my produce in a colander, give them a spritz and leave them to sit for a few minutes before rinsing them in cool water. I like how the spray really helps remove the waxy coating and everything becomes squeaky clean!
I actually have a unique use for their dish brush. Instead of using it to wash dishes, I actually use this along with my Fruit & Veggie Wash when cleaning my produce. After the produce has had time to sit in the wash for a few minutes, I give everything a good scrub down with the brush to remove any grit and build up. I like that the bristles are stiff but gentle enough not to bruise my produce.
Okay, so I’m not quite sure how I feel about the dish soap yet. I originally used it back in May and just got another one in my latest delivery because I wanted to give it another chance. What I like about the soap is that it smells devine (sucker for white grapefruit) and it’s really gentle on my hands. What I don’t like about it is the amount of lather that you get. Now I’m not sure about you, but when I wash dishes I feel like the more suds I have the cleaner my dishes will be. If you’ve tried this out or think that I’m crazy let me know. I’m still trying to make up my mind!
I’ve only used these for a few loads and again I’m not sure how I feel yet. My dishes come out clean for the most part and I don’t have any caked on food but at times I get a cloudy film on my glasses. I like that it’s made with plant and mineral-based ingredients but I personally prefer the clean that I get from Finish Quantum Max. I’ve also read online from a number of people who used the Honest Dishwasher Packs and said that it ruined their dishwasher – so I’d use it with caution! 😁
4 in 1 Laundry Packs:
Okay, I really wanted to love this but sadly I don’t. 😓 I didn’t notice any difference in the cleaning power but DID notice that they have a funky smell to them 😕. I’ve stopped using them and may try to come back to them a little later and see if I change my mind.
Again, I’ve only used their laundry products a few times and sadly wasn’t very impressed. The few times that I’ve used it, I’ve noticed that there would be some white residue left on some of my darker coloured clothing. Not sure if that is a result of using plant and mineral-base cleaners because I also have the same residue left on my dishes from the detergent packs. Anyways, not sure if I’d order the laundry products again (since I’m barely using them) and also because there is something euphoric about taking freshly dried clothes out of the dryer and having that ‘warm-clean’ smell.
Woo hoo!!! Something that I like again!!! 😄 I only have the small trail size but I really like it and use it when wiping down Z’s highchair. The reason that I haven’t ordered this product is because I already own a lot of natural cleaners and also make my own so don’t feel the need for it….yet…but we’ll see what happens!
Men’s Complete One-A-Day:
My husband takes these when he remembers (or when I give them to him). He doesn’t take them religiously but he did say that he noticed his energy level increase a little bit and also that they taste like Rice Crispy Squares lol. 😂
Prenatal Complete One-A-Day:
During my pregnancy I was taking Preg-Vit and only started taking these after I had Z. I like that they contain a lot of essential vitamins, minerals and superfoods that are essential when pregnant and nursing. I continue to take them and have no complaints.
The Honest Life:
LOVE THIS BOOK! The reason that I decided to include this in the review is because I feel like this book is good for your mental health and wellness. It’s such an easy read and full of tips, tricks and ideas on how to live an honest life. In the book, Jessica Alba talks about her story about why she wanted to change her lifestyle and how she tries to live an authentic life. It’s such a relatable book and when reading it you honestly feel like you’re just sitting around with your girlfriend and talking about life (in my head Jessica Alba’s my best friend) 🙈.
Anyways, there you have it. My short yet bitter-sweet review on the Honest Household, Health & Wellness products. Although I’m just starting to integrate some of these products into my home and haven’t fallen completely in love with everything, it hasn’t discouraged me to still try some other products.
