Spectacular architecture and mouth watering aromas fill the cobble stone alleys of Italy.  As you walk the winding paths, you can hear laughter and the clinking of glasses as friends and family gather around the table to enjoy their meal.  A meal that is filled with love, laughter and sapore.

For the past few months, my husband and I have been reminiscing our trip to Italy.  Remembering the sweet summer nights as we sat outside under the stars listening to live music and enjoying some of the best food that we’ve ever had – simple, pure and flavourful.

That is exactly what this post is about.  If you’re looking for a simple trick that will add robust flavours to your pasta instantly then keep on reading.

All you have to do is follow 3 simple steps, boil, season, cook.

Start off by bringing your water to a boil and right before you drop your pasta, add in 1/2 tablespoon each of dried Oregano, Parsley and Chili Flakes and 1 heaping tablespoon of Sea Salt.

This combination of herbs and spices will infuse your pasta as you cook it and it will add a depth of flavour.  Once you drain the pasta you can add it to your favourite sauce or simply just drizzle some olive oil on it and indulge.  This quick and easy trick will definitely change the way you make pasta.

Take this method and personalize it with whatever herbs and spices that you like.  Try some dried Basil and Thyme with Garlic powder or even adding a few sprigs of Rosemary.

So the next time you decide to bring Sicily into your kitchen, vibe to some Frank and pour yourself a glass as you discover the endless possibilities.

Hope that you found this quick post to be helpful for the next time you make pasta.  If you try this or have ideas of other combinations, please let me know in the comment section below.

Until next time!
